Every year since, there have been ceremonies at the three sites: World Trade Center, Pentagon, and Shanksville, PA. At the World Trade Center site, they always read the names of the nearly 3000 people who died there. Often the names are read by relatives. It's very sobering.

As Hilda said, I'm glad your students don't have first hand experience with this. It is also sobering to realize that our freshmen this year were babies when that happened.
