I finally finished Star Ocean 5, and my final thoughts.

It was extremely frustrating.

And the story felt like half the middle was missing.

The end wasn't so bad, but I feel like they could have gone into the political stuff a bit more and fleshed out Kronos.

Also could have explained the gate thats found.

I feel like more actual interaction with the little girls would have been helpful in making me care about them too.

And the way combat is, I feel it should have gone to a different combat area.

like, I get seamless combat, and it's cool when it works.

but a lot of the issues I had were small areas and a lot of attacks going on and things just destroying my healer and not letting her get far enough away to cast anything.

This is still the worst Star Ocean game I have ever played.

But, with that said, it is not the worst RPG I have played.

I sort of feel like they had intended to do more

and like, got cut or something

because it builds up like you expect from Star Ocean, but then, goes into endgame.....

and its like "Wait, what?"

and there's a lot of characters that don't get fleshed out, but feel like they were suppose to.

Even our main characters don't get fleshed out.

But as far as JRPGs go, I guess it's ok.

Actually, I think I would compare it to Tales of Zestiria.

potential was there, but it fell short
