[tabletop summary] TOUHOU VALOR 7/25
Quinneapolis
Quinneapolis
THREE DAYS after the Youkai Peace Summit!
Quinneapolis
The party is once again summoned by Misato's weird envelopes!
Quinneapolis
The Satori Great Sage congratulated them on resolving the incident and protecting Gensokyo's status quo.
Quinneapolis
She also challenges them to a spell card battle, to test their readiness for the future!
Quinneapolis
And so, a very, very long battle begins.
Quinneapolis
She explained herself more as the battle progressed towards its conclusion.
Quinneapolis
She foresaw a massive incident coming in the winter, which would thread together the Great Sages and the very foundation of Gensokyo itself.
Quinneapolis
However, she couldn't see what it was, or how it would end.
Quinneapolis
So, she took it upon herself to ensure that Gensokyo's premier incident resolution squad would be up to the task.
Quinneapolis
In the end, very narrowly, Misato lost.
Quinneapolis
And so, she entrusted the future to the PCs.
Quinneapolis
Next: Winter.

SESSION BREAKDOWN
Quinneapolis
Quinneapolis
The Season 3 EX Boss!
Quinneapolis
Level 16 Mind/Guts Master, three spell cards.
Quinneapolis
The first was a future vision spell, which forced players whose characters were inside the zone to announce one turn in advance what they were going to use their next Attack Action for.
Quinneapolis
The second was her great sage power card, which made everyone in the zone make an opposed resolve check or be knocked prone at the start of their turn.
Quinneapolis
The third was a SURVIVAL CARD
Quinneapolis
Where Misato became untargetable, and summoned five phantom eyes onto the field.
Quinneapolis
The eyes had 200 HP and couldn't attack.
Quinneapolis
However, each one gave Misato a passive +1 to attack rolls.
Quinneapolis
She used an attack that hit the entire party on the first turn, then an ult that hit the entire party on the second turn, then conceded.
Quinneapolis
Overall this fight was!
Quinneapolis
Too long.
Quinneapolis
The entire party ran out of Stamina.
Quinneapolis
Misato rolled absurdly well, especially on defense, which didn't help. Someone whiffed an ult because of her god tier luck.
Quinneapolis
But I think for future superbosses in this spell card shenaniganery I'd go a bit easier on the boss's HP
Quinneapolis
Level's up to 16, and the party is ready to enter
