I desperately need to sleep but first, one quick true fact: I managed to accidentally completely miss two days of work in the past two weeks and my supervisors managed to accidentally not actually notice

basically, when we first set the summer schedule, my boss scheduled me for wednesday through saturday

but the pool was closed on the first wednesday of the summer (which was july 4th) and for whatever reason i ended up assuming that meant i was only thursday-saturday after all

so i just... haven't gone in on wednesdays

and usually i get a call if i'm more than five minutes late but no one has called, emailed, asked me about it when i roll up on thursdays, nada

then i got next week's schedule today and somehow noticed for the first time that wednesday was scheduled and emailed my boss like "did you mean to put me on wednesday?"

her: are you... not always on wednesday...?

me: .................... wow okay i'm really sorry /explains mistake

her: ...well, okay, everyone's bad on this one apparently. do you want wednesdays?

me to me: money

me to her: yes please

just tell her I'm a terrible influence
