anyway, then during the first Jaunt, Joscelin infiltrated as a defrocked French seminarian who had to flee to the US to avoid murder charges (it was self-defense), & who acted as bodyguard to young gangster Armin Arlert.
it is still one of the most fun threads I've ever written. Joscelin with no scruples about brutality & gutter-fighting. Obviously that's not who he is, but it got to demonstrate what he was capable of.
(I think, in 2+ years in-game, he drew his sword... twice? three times? I'll be looking for those threads, because I mention Joscelin's undrawn sword a LOT, so that when it does get drawn, even canon-unfamiliar people are like WHOA)
(I'm presently laughing my ass off at the pirate Jaunt - but not Joscelin, who was a mermaid. apparently in-character as Remy LeBeau I composed half a FILTHY sea chanty called "Fishing in the Captain's Punt."
Rereading the first psychic post, and just. "We cooperate. Mostly. There are... factions." "...that doesn't sound very effective." "Then I'm describing it well."
JOS-LIN the computer program, who was gay married to Leonardo & was raising PHLP with him (which is why, later, Joscelin attempts to teach Phillip about the birds and the bees)
It is. But at the same time... Alcuin specifically waited to tell Thorne more detail, waited to tell Leonardo - who was his lover at that point - until he had permission from Anafiel.
Alcuin and Joscelin post Harrogate"You paid... the price," Joscelin says, deliberating on his disbelief. "Alcuin... sometimes you are so snow-drop pure a Camaeline that even I might despair of it. Bright and pure and dedicated beyond reason."
