the boyfriend in question in particular is playing a triple multiclass monstrosity

I retool my warlock a bit with the Moderately Armored feat and Armor of Agathys. He's now the "tank" of the party with lol 16 AC

actually the narrative is centered around a traveling troupe of entertainers so maybe that works out
