pissed off the MIL in just 24 hours. That was a fun start to the visit!

We were talking about some of the physical pain that she and FIL are in constantly and she has a new ankle issue that needs surgery. Hubby has some chronic pain and I was talking about how I wished he would do something about it. He is JUST like them where he bitches about something but won't do anything about it besides complain.

Sooooooo I said that he's frustrating me because he won't take action and thats when MIL jumps and says I should support him and I don't understand what pain is like when it's chronic and clearly it turned into her pain and that I am lucky and never feel this kind of agony.

Apparently talking about my husband and my concern is a quick jump from her and it became about her in a blink!

Ugh. She sounds insufferable.

Pretty much. I'm in 'not talking to you' mode for the last 24 hours. She is actually sitting 1/4 turned away from me at dinner. She's a mess.

I try to nip all that health talk in the bud. My aunt would start talking louder even when I stuck my fingers in my ears and shouted, "I can't hear you!"

it's actually great that she's not talking to you. My mom didn't call me for an entire week last time I said no to her. It was wonderful.
