Typically, I go with songs from that series itself, unless it really applies to someone. Or in the case with Rance, mix his character theme name with what he calls his dingaling.
I wound up using a doll maker and piecing together stuff I liked a few days ago, and this is not particularly considering any gender for them (in spite of the doll maker being female-bodied.)
