if you rent your landlord needs to know, if you own you need to call your home insurance

and a remediation company (plumber can recommend one)

if you have any fans and/or desiccants put those out in the laundry roon too

if you own the home: home insurance generally won't cover the cost of fixing the pipe BUT you should be able to get coverage for any resulting water damage

if you rent: it's the landlord's problem
