Today our lab manager brought us in a crock pot full of boiled dinner! And three days ago the store manager brought in pie for Pi Day. People bring in food fairly often, actually, which I think is a sweet part of eye store's tiny culture.

Last weekend, when I somehow had Saturday off, I got in on the action by bringing in some Girl Scout cookies, since the hotel vacation I was taking was a walk away, the mall I cut thru anyway had a GS kiosk, and I knew it would be busy as fuck and cookies would raise both spirits and blood sugar.

It turned out store manager had provided a pizza lunch, but who is ever sad to see Girl Scout cookies? NO ONE THAT'S WHO. They were very much appreciated.

Anyway it's a nice little way for us all to treat and appreciate each other from time to time, with no pressure for anyone to bring stuff. Honestly, if it felt expected I wouldn't have done it.
