tea’s gone cold
Jackie raising the kids I absolutely agree with
tea’s gone cold
I'm, er, not so into the other half of the theory
tea’s gone cold
but one thing is that I don't imagine that plotline ending happily at least not without a LOT of work on his end that we're pretty much told he'll never do
tea’s gone cold
(luv that they both realise Rose and the Doctor are both terrible people)
tea’s gone cold
the retrospectively agonising thing about Journey's End is that Rose's 10 never gets to learn he didn't destroy Gallifrey. of course he's going to start hitting the sauce

ROfl aside from the kids tho... Seijin CC

I don't know if I agree that Rose and the Doctor are terrible people though B|a they have really hard circumstances and have been through a lot. Time and Space is hard to give up
𝔯𝔞𝔦𝔫𝔟𝔬𝔴 𝔭𝔦𝔯𝔞𝔠𝑦~
besides which in one of the cut scenes ten-two does get a Tardis egg/seed thing
tea’s gone cold
like the slow emerging horror of JE is that the real Doctor dumped the clone for being too human - basically not having the "divine" parts of 10's nature that allow him to ever do the right thing At All
𝔯𝔞𝔦𝔫𝔟𝔬𝔴 𝔭𝔦𝔯𝔞𝔠𝑦~
you think so? B|a
𝔯𝔞𝔦𝔫𝔟𝔬𝔴 𝔭𝔦𝔯𝔞𝔠𝑦~
Hm I'll have to ponder this a bit. Not that I disagree with it completely but something about it feels off to me
𝔯𝔞𝔦𝔫𝔟𝔬𝔴 𝔭𝔦𝔯𝔞𝔠𝑦~
He definitely wants to put him somewhere Not Here or anywhere where he could feasibly run into him again
𝔯𝔞𝔦𝔫𝔟𝔬𝔴 𝔭𝔦𝔯𝔞𝔠𝑦~
and 10 can be and has been a really cold heartsed ass
tea’s gone cold
well, he says so. a lot of this is a messily addressed plot in the 10 era, kind of the contradiction between RTD's love of humanity and how saturated with religion 10 is. and JE was written when the Messianism was flying well off the rails.

He who?
tea’s gone cold
but basically 10 is constantly struggling with his desire to be close to the human and his duty to be detached from it. he ends up doing terrible, cowardly things due to not being able to resolve them
tea’s gone cold
he tends to do things and tell himself they're detached God decisions but really he's just doing it because he cares about humans too much
tea’s gone cold
so the clone Doctor is... too dangerous, according to him, due to being too human. a typical 10 dick thing to say!
tea’s gone cold
in a way it resolves the conflict - all the human traits and none of the power that makes them dangerous. and Rose loves the depowered Doctor anyway!
tea’s gone cold
but all that bitterness and selfishness and self-punishment is still there only now he doesn't even have planets to distract himself with.
tea’s gone cold
not to mention - he was dumped by the greatest, cleverest man in the universe - him but with those powers!!
tea’s gone cold
I want to believe he can retire peacefully but u g h I can see this turning out very, very badly. almost certainly for the copy Doctor and not the real one, too.
Seijin CC
No
Seijin CC
He dumped 10.5 for the genocide thing which even Moffat addressed with the War Doctor
Seijin CC
It was his complete and total revulsion to the "That's not me" of being willing to do the one thing he is so against
Seijin CC
And even then he still gave him TARDIS coral and Rose and Jackie/family
Seijin CC
I mean JE is sloppy in places
Seijin CC
but I told Sharon I think it's also a failsafe reboot so that if all went wrong
Seijin CC
Tennant could still be pulled back in
Seijin CC
And Billie and Tennant have mentioned they'd do a spinoff if BBC/Chibnall want to
Seijin CC
and given how Close Tennant and Chibnall are ;-)
Seijin CC
but -> that is just kidding around ^ I very much doubt they'd have kids even if the audience wants it to be possible (LOL)
tea’s gone cold
the point about Tennant and Rose as reboot insurance is a good one
