For what my white opinion is worth, from what I could see the story of Killmonger was presented as the result of a terrible sin on the part of T'Chaka, and an allegory for the consequences of their inaction

Erik had all the potential to be as successful as his cousins, and they left him to languish in poverty and oppression and that lead him to this path

And ultimately the fault for that lies with Ross and his ilk who took advantage of this intelligent, resourceful, talented young man and turned him into a ruthless killer

but the story is told from the POV of Wakandans so that part is kind of soft-pedaled
