A friend in highschool had a ton of SNES games, including Earthbound, Secret of Evermore, Illusions of Gaia, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, and Link to the Past, so I developed at very strong taste for SNES games despite the PS1 and N64 being out already

Nowadays I say my favorites are FFVI, FFIX (which I totally fell inlove with and these two are tied), FFV and FFIV. I do have an odd nostalgic affection for FFX tho, despite seeing it's glaaaaring flaws nowadays.
