i dreamed alicia from the library was head of an orchestra, only instead of being down in an orchestra pit they were waaaaay up above the stage...when i looked away i realized i was in some sort of dark souls game, i was surrounded by inky black water of unknown depth and scary fishmen were swimming in it

by "swimming" i mean as soon as they noticed me they all swam right for me and i frantically climbed up the nearest wall before my dream could remember i can't float on water

where the stage should have been, out in the middle of the lake, there was a gigantic slimy creature that wasn't cthulhu but was terrible to behold and i can no longer remember what it looked like besides gigantic with baleful glowing eyes and shining a slimy wet black in the torchlight

i traversed the wall as best and as quickly as i could, eventually reaching land but only dropping down because i'd dropped the pocket watch and chain i'd been holding

a large, bejeweled golden spider with looooong long legs appeared as soon as the chain hit the ground, so i had to rush before it stole it

as i was running for my life i ran into another area with a very tall....mirror? like, it had doors on it, and it was tall and metallic black silver and covered in carved designs and i didn't actually see a mirror

whatever it was, i'd already climbed it for safety when i noticed the indentation in the filigree on the top, which perfectly fit my pocketwatch....there were mechanical noises and the doors started to open and i quickly crawled to the back of the thing

once it was open i got down and noticed there was an arcade machine on the back now? moving to the front, the main arcade machine was covered by a heavy grey curtain, and the screen looked like it was menacing me

by which i mean it was implying if i didn't press start soon something bad was gonna happen for me having summoned it for no reason

so against my better judgement i moved closer to look for an instructions option, eventually finding a scenario button

when i pressed that suddenly it was a dark empty room behind the curtain, with a few chairs and abandoned instruments and things

the screen was now a projector, on which mickey and friends were incredibly confused because they'd been playing music at a wedding a minute ago

whenever anyone spoke all you heard was cartoony blabby noises, the only ones with real voices were mickey and the demon

mickey, donald, and goofy sat down and tried to play their instruments! the sounds that came out sounded like they'd been physically muffled despite them looking fine!

they looked sad or disappointed, and the demon started talking again, but i was starting to wake up by this point so i can't remember what it wanted

at some point during all this i was chatting with some friends and they invited me to go mountain climbing with them and we had some friendly banter about how the politically correct word for speedos (which are gay now apparently) is "juliennes" which i didn't understand at all

the guy explaining thought it was cute i didn't get it, so i played along with the cute role because sure

i feel like this scene was probably a flashback because i can't remember when it happened? but the dark water part was some sort of video game at first too, my mom was floating with me over the water before everything got real, i even mentioned to her how the narration had implied the fishmen were a healthy ingredient in soups

things turned bad when one of the enemies (a giant black crocodile) refused to die, instead growing into a long-necked creature covered head to toe in heavy matted black hair, its fma chimera-like head turning to look at me before it started destroying all my units

it didn't just defeat them, it melted them with its black breath, leaving sticky black piles of bones and cloth flattened to the floor where once stood an ally

it moved incredibly fast, heading right for the dragon i'd dragged behind the boss, but my move was no use...my trump card melted too, and the monster turned to me, which is approximately when the dream decided i no longer had dream immunity

a fascinating dream all around, i'd say

....i compared the dream to dark souls but now that i'm up i remember all i know of dark souls is a comic about onion knights and that one youtube video where they sillydance all the way to the boss

is it even the boss? someone labeled it as spoilers once so i assume so
