[Work] <goes and bangs her head against the wall>
Shard-o-lantern
I really don't know how she does it.
Shard-o-lantern
I really don't.
Shard-o-lantern
But the supervisor has managed to, somehow, screw up the tills badly enough that we look like we're missing over £100.
Shard-o-lantern
And I know it has to be in the safe. Because that much money can't just disappear. But...I get to spend at least most of tomorrow trying to sort it out.

oh no :-(
Shard-o-lantern
She's going on holiday starting tomorrow.
Shard-o-lantern
She prefers letting me do the tills and such because things don't seem to go wrong for me nearly as often. But the reason they don't is because I take my time with it.
AmbularD
Oh good lord...
Shard-o-lantern
Yeah. So...I have that to look forward to tomorrow.
Shard-o-lantern
And I think I have a newbie in the afternoon. So I have to get this done in the morning. At least the news delivery shouldn't be too bad...I hope.
Shard-o-lantern
...And, apparently, she's been stressing herself out over it and recounting everything over and over again this afternoon.
Shard-o-lantern
The more I think about it, the more I'm sure I know where at least £100 of it is. And it's because I decided to bag up a bunch of 10p coins that we had and put them in the big safe. So she may have missed them.

You count the big safe at the end of the shift, yes?
Shard-o-lantern
The big safe is the one where we keep the full bags of coins, the scratch cards and the sorted till. The regular safe is where the opened bags of change and the 'loose' change is kept.
Shard-o-lantern
The self-service till doesn't use 10p coins, so we always have excess of those and the 50 p coins. Eventually, we pack those up to send off to be banked.
