My second years are on their school trip and third years are going to see the Lion King musical today and you know
√√▽^)レ
For all the crap Japan gets about their curriculum I do think this is something they do right
√√▽^)レ
Stuff like sports festival and the cultural festival too
√√▽^)レ
It's really nice that even my poor ass board of education with my not so highly academic students still get opportunities that are a break from just the regular school grind
√√▽^)レ
The first years get to do a camping trip in the summer too
√√▽^)レ
And every year my students get to do two weeks of skiing in February
√√▽^)レ
Like it's one of the longer school years in the world but they spend a lot of time on not strictly lessons and that's something I feel like no one talks about with Japan. Whether praising or criticism
√√▽^)レ
But it's absolutely something I think should be taken away
√√▽^)レ
Like taken in a good way. Borrowed bleh
√√▽^)レ
Because on to of being good experiences for kids
√√▽^)レ
It's also really good for fostering their relationships with each other when done right

they get a lot of good exposure...

that sounds like a lot of nice activities I'd have loved to do as a kid

but even just organizing a ski trip was a mountain of organizing
