I think it comes down to fuck InkRhys, he had like no interaction with Enoch and this is likely to be less traumatized by his presence. Marry Beckett because... well that's the easy one. Which leaves poor Stephen for kill.
(And possession is a very real thing in his world, so I think he dealt with the sinners/converted Thing better than most people. I mean, he forgave Manny, even if he was a little gun-shy around him still)
Yeah if Enoch was on the other side of the scalpel he would've forgiven his convert pretty much immediately too. Possession sucks and it's not the victim's fault.
Mostly his prioritizing-by-trauma is because the part he feels guilty for is being a walking reminder of all that pain, because that doesn't end with the brainwashing and healing.
