rp problems: having to have your character gush about a ship you're eehhhh about

I don't have a visceral dislike of Tina/Jimmy Jr. any more but I'd really like her to move on lmao

she is at the age where boyfriend-girlfriend relationships last like, a school day

Yeah, and she does move between crushes easily

JJu's the one consistent target of her affections but that doesn't stop her from having several boy-of-the-week crushes

meanwhile Diane explains that time her husband saved a whole city with spaghetti strainers

Girl. If Lance finds out what a doucher Jimmy was, he will find her a cute nice boy.

I WANT to like Tina/JJu because they made it clear during the last SDCC panel that we're going to see more on-again off-again during season 8, it's just... I hate the way he's so inconsistent

And I feel like we've never been given much insight as to why it is Tina likes him so much- why this boy is the one consistent target of her affections when most of the time he's lukewarm towards her at best

He can be so sweet when he's on point! But those moments are hard to enjoy when you know he's going to go back to ignoring her 2 episodes later

I ship her with Josh (the ballet dancer she met in the dairy fridge) really hard because he was sweet to her, he was physically affectionate with her, and he actively pursued her

I love her with Josh oh my fricking god. He was so good to her.

(Intellectually I know it was because he was played by a guest star who may not have been able to consistently come back so it'd be weird for Tina to be dating a boy who's never present, whereas JJu is voiced by Jon Benjamin so it's easy to slip him into episodes, but UGH, if this is how it's going to be can we please stop

with the endless will-they-or-won't-they and have him treat her a little better)

Thankfully Tina is young enough to where it'd be IC for her to move on and date someone else

One of my favorite running jokes in the show is how most of the boys Tina crushes on have names beginning with J

Jimmy Jr., Josh, Jonas, Jordan, Joe... there's got to be others I'm forgetting

as a note, I also know how frustrating it is when your character gush/go on about someone you're ehhhh about

Personally The Dream would be for them to become good friends before they become a couple or instead of becoming a couple

I even like Jimmy Jr. most of the time but I just don't think he and Tina make a good couple. I am not convinced and the show is usually so good about showing that kind of thing
