SeeYouInShibuya
We're awakened with the news my other grandmother passed away
SeeYouInShibuya
So I'm not sure what plans will be like for a few days.
SeeYouInShibuya
I'm glad I visited this week.
Sҽα Sιɾҽɳ
I'm sorry. If you need to talk/vent, I'm here.
SeeYouInShibuya
Thank you. I don't really know actually
SeeYouInShibuya
It's more my mind goes to how awful her quality of life has been the last little while
SeeYouInShibuya
And now she won't be suffering like she was
Sҽα Sιɾҽɳ
When someone is sick, yes. I feel like it's a release from pain. She has all the health and happiness now.
SeeYouInShibuya
She had a severe heart condition and hasn't been breathing well at all in a long time
SeeYouInShibuya
She'd been falling too lately
SeeYouInShibuya
But at least when I saw her she was having a good day
SeeYouInShibuya
And I know that she was glad I did, and she remembered I did because she told my aunt that
Sҽα Sιɾҽɳ
She knew you loved her, then. She's watching over you now without any more pain or scary falls.
SeeYouInShibuya
She'd gone from being okay on her own to getting care twice a day and that's not fun for anyone
SeeYouInShibuya
Yeah I think she did know that
Sҽα Sιɾҽɳ
That happens more often as someone gets older, unfortunately.
SeeYouInShibuya
Yeah it does and it really sucks for them. And they don't want that eiher
SeeYouInShibuya
She was kind of resigned to it because so much she couldn't control anymore
SeeYouInShibuya
But we had a nice time, we brought in pizza
SeeYouInShibuya
Which she really liked
Sҽα Sιɾҽɳ
Good. She had nice memories.
SeeYouInShibuya
I think so.
SeeYouInShibuya
I'm glad. And she went in her sleep which is kind of the best way at that age. At her home.
Sҽα Sιɾҽɳ
Oh definitely. That is the best way period. She's just dreaming.
SeeYouInShibuya
They'd been waiting to move her but I think that would have been hard on her
SeeYouInShibuya
Into full time care
SeeYouInShibuya
She was kinda between needing that and not?
SeeYouInShibuya
She was still eating with her friends and going to bingo and things like that
Sҽα Sιɾҽɳ
She didn't suffer; she didn't completely lose her freedom. That's a nice way to end things.
SeeYouInShibuya
Yeah I think so. I think that's as good as it can be.
Sҽα Sιɾҽɳ
Both of my grandmothers passed with difficulty, so yes, it is a nice conclusion for a wonderful lady.
SeeYouInShibuya
It's my first grandparent to go actually. I've been lucky to know them.
SeeYouInShibuya
My dad had to get up and start making calls so we're up so early
SeeYouInShibuya
But I'm just thinking about the last time I saw her and it was a nice visit. Really.
ChickletLARP
I am so sorry, my friend. I have so much empathy for you, and am here if you need me.
SeeYouInShibuya
Thank you, I appreciate it.
SeeYouInShibuya
I've just been rambling mostly
ChickletLARP
::nods:: That will happen. You ramble all you want.
SeeYouInShibuya
I've been very lucky in not being in this position very much
SeeYouInShibuya
So I don't know really how to react
SeeYouInShibuya
I get the oddest thoughts though
SeeYouInShibuya
Like wondering if they'll tell her husband
SeeYouInShibuya
I'm not sure, he's not aware of what's going on
ChickletLARP
:: sits with, gives a small nod:: Yeah, random odd makes no sense thoughts sometimes, thoughts that make sense but don't too...
SeeYouInShibuya
Yeah. I'm just I guess sitting quietly, distracting myself.
SeeYouInShibuya
Mostly because my instinct is humour which I'm not sure is appreciated
ChickletLARP
You can always express it here, if you want.
SeeYouInShibuya
Well not about the situation just in general
SeeYouInShibuya
So I don't know.
ChickletLARP
You can always PP if you feel the need, then.
ChickletLARP
I get it, and I am here for you, if that is whatcha need.
SeeYouInShibuya
Thank you <3
ChickletLARP
You are welcome, and you are always welcome.
SeeYouInShibuya
It's kind of weird where I don't know what I need
ChickletLARP
::nods:: Yep.
SeeYouInShibuya
I don't know what I should be doing
ChickletLARP
My recommendation? A warm semi-sweet drink, and if no one needs you at home for a bit, curl up with a comfort book, or anime, or play some Kingdom Hearts CoM.
ChickletLARP
Just something to pull you out of the real for a bit, give your subconscious time to absorb.
SeeYouInShibuya
Well I do have a cappuccino, and I am watching tv with dad and reading on my phone
ChickletLARP
That works
SeeYouInShibuya
We're at my mom's parents' house so
ChickletLARP
Then I will leave you to that.
SeeYouInShibuya
No games here but it's alright. Everyone is getting up so we'll be interrupted soon
ChickletLARP
:: nod::
SeeYouInShibuya
Oh I think we are staying. Because of the holiday they can't sign papers until Tuesday
SeeYouInShibuya
My brother was apparently upset when dad told him
SeeYouInShibuya
I'm not like that. I don't react with crying.
SeeYouInShibuya
Just processing I guess?
SeeYouInShibuya
I don't know if that's better or worse honestly
✨NightLuna✨
aww sweety.
✨NightLuna✨
depends on people honestly, I LOST someone too and didn't cry, I didn't even cry when my dad passed years ago. I finally broke down days after my friend passed, just depends
SeeYouInShibuya
I guess. It's just I don't want people to think I don't care
✨NightLuna✨
it doesn't mean u don't =/
✨NightLuna✨
some people will break right away, others later, and the rest don't
SeeYouInShibuya
We got more information about what happened.
SeeYouInShibuya
She called in the middle of the night to someone at the desk
SeeYouInShibuya
She used the restroom
SeeYouInShibuya
Then she called again and said she had to go again
SeeYouInShibuya
And they came in and when she sat up she had a heart attack and died right away
SeeYouInShibuya
So she wasn't alone and she didn't suffer
SeeYouInShibuya
So that's good

SeeYouInShibuya
Thank you both.

We each care and grieve in our own ways, in our own time
