[SRWV] God, it screws me up when playstation games use O for accept and X for cancel/back

like, the DEFAULT SYSTEM CONTROLS are X as accept and O as cancel, i just don't get it

it's a minor annoyance but it always leads to disorientation when i go from the game to the system menu

because Namco fucking hates it's userbase

and honestly i feel like O being accept and X being cancel makes more sense just due to my Western sensibilities

like how A being jump and B being attack does for Nintendo stuff

it makes sense for different controller types, sure, and maybe it even dates back to the days they were on the SNES or something, but it still seems pointless on a PS console

I will say this, the suborders thing is a godsend, i can boost my lesser pilots' levels and scores without having to hamfist them into every mission and work overtime getting them to actually kill stuff

yeah it's a useful tool for something that's a god damn story tactics game where you literally can't grinde
