The Goku one would lead to more in-game trauma as he realizes that this little brother person isn't there anymore. The only reason I'm hesitating on picking that one immediately is because Gojyo's been so goddamn emo lately.
Remembering Banri totally earning that "Asshole" moniker might cheer him up a little... or at least make him think he was being less of a jerk for no reason.
Is there a limit to how long a memory can be? Would it be cheating to have a memory start with getting drunk with Banri one evening, then the next afternoon being grabbed by the mob and eventually being rescued by Hakkai that night?
If the mods say that whole thing is too long, I think I'll go with the umbrella rescue, since Goku was present at the Sanzo fight and remembering the monkey will just make Gojyo more sad.
He can have two memories if you want to fund it! He's getting the umbrella fight, but I'm totally down with him remembering Sharak in all her tsun glory, too.
