tmw you're getting really shitty customer service over the phone, but you can't give them negative feedback because you don't want to get the call center dude in trouble over something that's really the fault of the script they're forcing him to follow
Zombibble
mmm yeah...

I googled the issue when I got home, and this explanation fits
فك يو
and if that is the explanation for why it's happening, I'm even more annoyed at at&t
فك يو
not because they occasionally experience an overload of service and need to find ways to alleviate it, but because they're so cagey about it
فك يو
if they were just like "yo, we're having capacity issues so service for some people is going to be spotty", that'd be totally fine!
فك يو
instead the guy on the phone was really cagey about the message itself; like I said "I'm getting this message every few minutes and my data's not working", and he walked me through the normal troubleshooting stuff that I'd told him I already tried
فك يو
me: "okay, but I already did all that, it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue, can we please address this notification that I'm getting? do you have an idea of what 'restricted access change' might mean?"
فك يو
him: "please restart your phone again"
فك يو
me: "okay, I will, but no really this notification what's up with that"
فك يو
him: "please check to see if your 4g cellular data is switched on"
فك يو
me: "?????"
فك يو
he literally would not acknowledge me saying anything about the notification at all
