my PS4 controller has lost all ability to connect to bluetooth

why can't I ever just

have a controller

for my PC

that works

why can't that be a thing

THERE we go god almighty

the controller ran out of batteries, then, on the way bakc up, moved itself in the bluetooth device list from an input device to an Other

and refused to work until I found it there, removed it, and then re-added it as a controller

Oh yeah for some reason bluetooth controllers act up when they're plugged in.

It's dumb.
