the naughty squirrel has been scrumping apples.

heard a light thump and couldn't see any bird strike victims near windows but did spot the squirrel making off with an apple.

that involved leaping on and off the fence but is unlikely to be the noise I heard from within the house while on the other side of it, as opposed to being nearby.

definitely able to hear the cats, squirrels and birds thumping on and off fences when close enough.

the squirrel and birds (and wasps!) don't steal and damage all the apples before it's my turn. One of the others on my special little tree has already gone rotten from some injury (peck or bite).
