[possible gross][medical] I have a question that involves pregnancy and twins :U

So. Someone's preggers with twins. Is it actually possible for something to happen in the womb where one twin eats the other or something like that or is that just a fantastical rumor and not at all possible?

If I remember right (and I'm not a medical professional, so yeah) it's possible for one twin to absorb the other, but that can only happen super early, probably before you would even realize you had twins. I'm pretty sure that one twin can't kill or "eat" the other after a certain point.

in horses one twin can basically hog all the nutrients and thereby starve the other twin. More or less. Probably not what you meant.
