A thought about characters I find inspiring.

I admit that if I could consider inspiration from any actor, it would be Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch, or Cary Grant as Peter Joshua in "Charade".

Both are very sharp dressers with a firm code. I think I'd go with Peter Joshua, though, for his sense of humor. A man who jokes about taking a shower, goes in there wearing his suit, and then cracks wise about it being "drip dry"? Yes.

Add in that he is playing a dangerous game the whole movie, and how he gets out of it by quick thinking and attention to detail? Indeed.

If you haven't seen Charade, please do so, and not one of the remakes. Best movie Hitchcock didn't make.
