Looks like someone made a Zelda game without fighting.
Tillie
It's just exploring and crafting all over. I might go give it a try.
Tillie
With all the features in SL, SL could be like that ... simple puzzles and exploring in a meshy world. If only sims were cheaper or way larger and if meshing was easier...
Anke
I've thought about that same idea for a long time Tillie. It could be so much fun. I don't have the scripty chops to pull it off, though. I feel like a good portion would have to be networked out to real servers, and it'd take a lot of balancing.
Tillie
If only there was lots of meshy stuff availably, it would have been done already... there's an adventuring community out there which does scripted questing and things.
Tillie
I already thought about it too, but you'd need tons of items that can be used for it. Adding some scripts is not that hard.
Tillie
And that game above is without any fighting, so there's no 'balancing' needed.
Tillie
Sure you would need servers or something to track progress in quest lines etc.
Anke
Well, when you do something multiplayer, there is some balancing needed usually. Plus, I guess ultimately you'd have to figure out how to monetize it somehow to even maintain server/sim fees.
Tillie
Probably would have to be a collaboration with LL. I mean, if it looked good and would be fun it would pull in lots of new people...
Tillie
Ll tried this once with their few gaming sims where they use their "experiences". Just take that and push it to a new level.
Anke
Experiences would definitely boost the viability.
Tillie
Make it several "worlds" ... fantasy, cyberpunk, sci-fi, .. and let people explore, solve puzzles and riddles ... and buy things.
Tillie
The current prim limit is good, just extend the dimensions of each sim to like something like 1024x1024 ...
Tillie
You could do a LOT on a single sim...
Tillie
Even use several levels there like fantasy stuff on the ground, with hills and such, sci-fi up in the sky where you don't really need ground/water ... etc.
