so who remembers the crazy guy from FurAffinity who tried to join Route 29 by pointlessly lying about his identity and then going completely batshit bonkers at me in private messages
I don't have as much time for it these days but I used to draw a LOT of Route art. Like just post illustrations or pictures of Heather's Pokemon, stuff like that.
Which is actually how a lot of people wound up finding the game to begin with, which 99% of the time was really cool! We got some great players that way!
also I'm not sure why that cap cuts off but I'll pastebin the whole log, my timeline is private so I don't really think anyone is going to misuse what is probably a dead account name
but like just DRINK IN those first two where he sends me a fucking dramatic anime character monologue about how he knew in his heart that his perversion was going to destroy the game
all this came from a total stranger looking at the pictures I uploaded to my art galleries and apparently getting... obsessed enough for THIS to happen
but the best part is that the second message came a few minutes later where after he dramatically monologued about protecting the game from himself, he went "but maybe I'll try again in a few years. hope you're still modding it then!"
anyway like long story short, judging by his last message, he apparently was in therapy and doing better, and to his credit, he has NOT tried to contact me since then, he backed off when I replied saying something along the lines of
"Enough of this. I was afrad to approatch you because of this." "Why?" "You seemed like the person who won;t tollerate people who lie even about little things."
oh my actual god i've heard this story before but I don't think I saw the actual text of the first half
this is such a weird thing to lie about, every time you tell the story I just go what because what was he trying to prove. what would have happened had he not accidentally namedropped a character who used to be in the game
ɗυ boiѕ°
: Right?? Like... it is so bizarre. It's something that I think only someone who WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT part of the community would do. Because anyone IN the community would know how dumb that was.
And if he'd namedropped a character who HADN'T been there, I... who the fuck knows. I probably could have gone and checked to see if the char had actually been in the game, given how.... fucking off-kilter he was
back when a friends group and I were all on furc and all hung out in a silent hill dream we had a couple people come in all OH HI I'M AN OLD REG and it was always weird because it was very easy to go "uh. no you weren't? we've all known each other for years we'd remember you" so maybe it's some sort of... weird awkward geek way of fitting in
ɗυ boiѕ°
: yeah like... I think that's what it was? I think that he wanted to be like, accepted into the fold without question so he thought if he said he'd already been in the game, it would... be easier?? But he clearly was fuckin
I may have, but you were also in the game later than the first year I think, and I wasn't in the FMA cast at that time. I was at least vaguely aware of your presence though
they're all levels of pretty ok!! i think the werewolf is effective enough in that sometimes me, a grown ass woman, will have a nightmare involving it (thanks uncle for letting me watch it as a babby)
and i think a lot of movies like it (with or without werewolves) tend to not know how to deal with that kind of subject that isn't there will be blood levels of do something already
it's really too bad since i think horror as a metaphor works really well for veterans/soldiers (which i guess brings up DOG SOLDIERS THO!!!) but i just don't see a lot these days that i really enjoy
"Why?"
"You seemed like the person who won;t tollerate people who lie even about little things."
oh my actual god
