the good: i think???? i found a med that works???? maybe????????
236 bees
it's Early Days (i've only been taking it for like a week and a half) but IT SEEMS TO BE DOING SOME GOOD
236 bees
the bad: it is a tier 3 medication and is step therapy
236 bees
also name brand
236 bees
it doesn't have a generic yet
236 bees
the downright ugly: i've got a 50% coinsurance for tier 3

guess it's a good thing i have a well paying job if i might easily end up paying $100+ monthly for one medication

and still have 3 others

y-yeah

like on the one hand YAY IT WORKS on the other hand it is going to be incredibly expensive aaaand that's assuming that insurance will cover it at all yet
236 bees
since step therapy means basically "this is really expensive and insurance doesn't want to pay for something so expensive so here you need to try these 5 other alternatives to see if those work before we'll cover it for you"
236 bees
so i might end up having to go through this song and dance of trying more new meds to see if something cheaper also works for months before i'd even be able to officially get this filled
236 bees
i already tried like 4 other meds tho so hopefully i'll be able to get prior auth with just those.....

hey sounds like my med struggles and in the end they wouldn't even cover one of my meds anyway ...! I'm sorry. :/ i hope they'll be more reasonable than my insurance.

"insurance"
236 bees
"reasonable"
236 bees
mmm
236 bees
on the positive side tho i worked in insurance for a year and a half and my mom worked in insurance for longer so overall our family knows insurance better than most

that's why I said "more" >_>;
