🍔 YEDONG...
This latest Windows update deleted the drivers for my computer's audio device and I can't figure out how to get them back... none of the automatic Windows tools are doing anything

🍔 YEDONG...
And I'm wary of trusting anything I Google

Cptn Old Spice
Which Windows is it?

Cptn Old Spice
If it's 10 there's a way to roll back to before the update

🍔 YEDONG...
I'm using 10, yes

Cptn Old Spice
Yeah you can roll back before the update. I had to do it once because an update borked my trackpad

Cptn Old Spice
Rolled back and it was fine

I don't remember how to do it off hand, but Mr. Google should know.

🍔 YEDONG...
hhnnnnngh nothing on Google is being helpful in that regard either- it keeps telling me to click things I don't see in the settings. Intel has a driver update utility which has proven useless. :/

🍔 YEDONG...
n/m, found it...

🍔 YEDONG...
why can you not fucking find drivers for this device, windows

🍔 YEDONG...
they were there yesterday, you didn't go back in time and retroactively erase them from existence

mr Cham uses a software uuuuh Driver Booster 4.4 that sets up all the drivers for you automatically

🍔 YEDONG...
I actually got it working again just now- it was literally the first result in Google, which I ignored because I thought it was asking me to select my specific device, which I couldn't figure out, but it works for many devices and fixed the problem

🍔 YEDONG...
l-lol

🍔 YEDONG...
But thank you

✃ - - cham
hahaha oh ok
