i'm just gonna brag in terms that no one else will understand: i got rid of five pallets and cleared three carts and a dolly last night all by myself

i also faced half of the frozen section and two and a half aisles

anyway yesterday was nice - i found some guy's wallet and held onto it for him and when he came back for it he called me a v honest young man and gave me 20 bucks. and i asked this lady if she needed help finding anything and said no and then said i reminded her of richard dreyfuss

Lmao I had a summer job in a factory

which is actually not the first time i've been told that. i think it's just the glasses, beard, and now my hair's long enough to be curlyish again

oh and dairy, i faced dairy too

they're switching the other manager to a slightly different shift and making me p much solely responsible for the state of the backroom

which is like !! but also nice bc then i don't have to worry so much bc i'll know exactly what's been worked on and how well it was done

ALSO i have two days off back to back i'm still stunned

it's going to feel like an actual vacation

i feel like bragging more - when i say i got rid of five pallets i mean that i worked like seven or eight and condensed them down so that five were gone

granted like four of them were p much dead already so i knew most of them couldn't go, but still

as someone who used to work nightfill that's pretty impressive, especially if you were dealing with customers too

only for the hour my clerk was on lunch, since she was on the register. honestly i wouldn't have gotten half as much done if i'd been handling customers

i was the cashier and the only manager last night since my other clerk is on medical restrictions and i only worked four pallets and wound up with one full of backstock i couldn't stack away

yeah we used to work when the store was closed except during Christmas bc long opening hours and we always got so much less shit done

24 hours is so rough

you still have to get all the overnight stuff done but a surprising number of people are out in the middle of the night
