casters: conjurer is a healer (baby whm), thaumaturge is a high damage turret class (baby blm, far less complicated than XI) and arcanist my fav is a pet class, it has both a sensible promotion (pet class with punchier pets) and a nonsensical healer promotion

thm or acn are the ways to go if you don't want healer pressure, but cnj is quite straightforward if you don't mind it!

thm is more stationary nuke stuff before it nukes you and toggle your stance to restore mp in between, acn relies on damage over time which makes it a little more mobile but a bit lacking in big burst damage
