IDK, but considering the last cast is actually still doing MST3K stuff (Rifftrax), I don't know why they didn't just grab them

I am unaware! I know there was a thing a while back about payments, where Joel was getting more $ than everyone else for the dvds, but then something happened where the rifftrax guys were able to get the rights to sell the dvds for streaming, etc and they took the proceeds and spread them evenly amongst everybody else. Or...something.

Maybe he didn't like that? But that's just speculation.

I don't think they're against it, I don't recall them saying THAT much. But they weren't invited back, they've all confirmed that on their twitters and social media accounts.

But they did retweet the kickstarter
