hermit crabs: /suddenly out of their hiding places and turning shells over
me: Well, shit, when did it get that late?

after midnight is hermit crab time

and when i should be sleeping, but

..... nah

I do this too because that is the time of the critter switch in my house. The frogs go to their assigned bedtime leaves and Mr.Deks starts prowling around.

our critters are so predictable

mine get annoyed when it's hermit crab time and im still up and moving around near my desk

if im just still and on my computer its fine, but if im moving about they retreat to the back of the tank and stare
