dr. murderscience cloned one of his patients and made her! then he basically used her as a maid/body cleanup crew for 4-ish years while convincing her she was a doll rather than a person.
then she moved into camellia academy's infirmary/murderscience lab, where she literally spends almost all of her time. gotta protect that murderscience. also she started actually making friends with other members of the League of Evil! ...and then she started popping into murdergames
at which point she met and befriended an alternate version of tori even after telling said tori "you do realize i'm supposed to kill my version of you, right," and somehow that catapulted into her making a bunch of other friends
and if it weren't for the fact that she's still living in the murderscience lab (and being worked much harder than ever before, which is why she shows up super tired sometimes), she'd honestly be doing a lot better.
in her universe, a bunch of people from various planes of reality were Completely Done with the hand life dealt them, got together, and decided to rebel against the Powers That Hold The Damn Universe Together
and poor Vibri was one of the millions of people that got caught in the crossfire and died. ...and also one of 5 people that the powers that be decided to have fight on their side in the resulting war
(why them? ...because their fates were also fucked up and they wanted to get their claws in them before the enemy could. did we mention that this is a crapsack world?)
...war is not made for magical girls. A lot of people died, a lot of people got erased, Vibri lost a lot of people she grew to really care about. And then one of their enemies basically went supernova and dragged her into a pocket universe. (spoilers: it was alris)
Vibri got out because she murdered Alris. But she felt (and still feels) really guilty about it, because damn, her universe's Ris never even had a chance. ...Not like anyone did, but it's the principle of the thing
EVENTUALLY THE WAR ENDED but not without the group's mentor figure existentially offing himself and one of their teammates going completely off the deep end and skipping off to DESTROY UNIVERSES while hunting down ONE DUDE
some of them took it. Vibri didn't. Because she didn't feel right going back to living a normal life after everything she'd seen, and even if she was a lot more jaded she still felt like it was her duty to protect everything
So Vibri now is still just the soul of a girl who died way too young, who is projecting a body that looks like what she THINKS she'd look like had she actually grown up
...That's not going so well. Right now daughter!Ris is being taken care of by one of her old teammates (who did come back to life) and she's in nexus!Ris' universe trying to keep it from falling apart.
RE: Ris: Tori wants to kill Varen, but I don't think this is a secret at this point. If anything, getting every little detail will just make her want to murder him more. This is also, more or less, Abby's reaction. Jeb would just do his best to be comforting to Ris and tell her that he's here for her whether she wants it or not.
Ris mostly got cloned from Yui because Varen's also been using her to figure out how to best treat Yui's various illnesses. Which means he used to regularly make her sick.
That's not necessarily a thing anymore, half because because of everything Yui's doing a lot better and half because Varen stopped giving a shit about doing his job.
Vibri tho! There's a reason she keeps telling Asmodai "sorry, I'm off the market," and it's not even because of everything else. Like, that would be a good set of hang-ups on its own but
Her boyfriend also died back when she did, and she never really moved on. She hasn't really moved on from losing her family, either, but at least in that sense she can use her memories
i still just think it's hilarious that ris' plan is like "ok, let's cause some huge distraction somewhere else so i have to hold down the fort, then someone grab me and aiden and we'll gtfo"
...no tho jebri if Tori gets hurt in any of that then Jeb is going to have more than just Ris to patch up when they get back, because Ris is just going to refuse to talk to her for a bit
