i'm only participating cuz of mom's challenge so I'm only doing it once a day, but how many times could I do 1 minute planks for maximum benefit aside from the challenge?

You get maximum benefit from toning exercises when you combine them with cardio.

And/or strength training. You don't lose belly fat from toning exercises alone—you'd have to burn it.
