The Tainan City Government is planning to build a "Green Tech Park" on a 22-hectare grassland of Shalun within 4 years. Meanwhile, a 200-hectare "Visual Entertainment City" is blueprinted right by the Park.
Although the government claims that the park will be powered by green energy and is focused on low carbon emission, there is no indication of the Tyto longimembris being part of the project.
Politicians do not care about an endangered species because, frankly, they cannot vote anyway. They will dismiss our call to cancel this urbanization project unless they see a potential impact on the elections.
Or unless they are shamed to stop. Either way, we need you to voice this with us. Tell them they cannot kill more of these owls for their profit. Condemn them for the reckless project.
Please write a message to the Tainan City Government. Write directly to our President if possible. Tell them we do not want those stupid-a** "Parks" if building them means a species will go extinct.
各位知道臺南沙崙有種非常神秘的動物東方草鴞嗎？
牠們族群數量稀少，已經不到300隻
平時因為誤食吃到老鼠藥的老鼠、誤入鳥網和棲息地被開發等…數量正在減少中
但是，牠們在沙崙的棲息地要被開發成綠能科技城和影城了！
假如真的要保護環境那根本不要開發那片環境吧？
這跟用馬路破壞濕地趕走黑面琵鷺然後把那條馬路命名為黑面琵路一樣智障啊！
說到底只是為了圖利財團或是炒地皮而已。
我們台灣原本有很多很美的古蹟、自然美景、野生動植物的
但我們不重視
讓古蹟自燃
把美麗的自然美景破壞的面目全非
讓野生動植物死光」
我們會不會到最後只剩下炒地皮，讓曾經那些迷人的東西卻消失了？
那些消失的事物是可以讓台灣變成世界的焦點，但是牠們消失了
在牠們消失後，我們真的得到我們想要的東西了嗎？
