You know, when I was a kid I wasn't a huge DC person, I was definitely much bigger into Marvel. So, a lot of my earlier experiences with DC...

Were always crossovers like Spider-man and Batman or even the Amalgam stuff

But like you I also ate up the Death of Superman stuff. I was actually a bigger Superman fan at the time than Batman

I remember reading the Eradicator stuff and thinking it was the coolest thing ever but like also the dumbest costume

But I think I really started buying more DC after the Amalgam stuff, tbh.

None of the characters I play now are like any of who my favorite characters used to be as a kid

Oh man I actually remember this really clearly!

I remember reading an EGM issue in home economics class with my buddies in.... middle school? I think

I remember there was a little blurb in the back about it being made, just a small article with like two pictures or something

I think it was of liquid. But either way I thought it was awesome. I really had no experience with the older games either so as far as I knew this was the first game in the series

I actually had very little experience with story in games, because i grew up on mario and zelda and stuff which had story but didn't focus on narrative

So the early final Fantasy games and metal gear really appealed to my little kid sense of imagination because I just ate the story up

I was AWFUL at stealth

But I had just never really experienced a story like it in a game before and as a first impression it made a big impact
