So, I had a happy post, but then I saw something that made me RAWR on the way to work, so RAWR first, happy post to follow.

The lot I park in is next to a non-University apartment building that is... it's basically a really expensive slum, from what I've heard of it. Like, the cheapest possible construction they could get away with

and still be legal/to code. Although I'm not even sure they're technically to code, considering the stories I've heard about sewer pipes with outlets into closets and the like

anyway, point being, the people that live there seem to be either unable to afford better (it happens, they're college students) or idiots. I see far more of the latter category here in parking because

their same lack of planning that led to them living in a shithole leads to them parking in places that are not legal for them to park in and then yelling at us when they're inevitably ticketed/towed

this story is about a member of said latter category

I'm pulling into my lot this morning, when I see a girl walking her 2-3 month old puppy. some sort of shepherd dog from the look of it, possibly malinois. cute dog... but entirely off leash

she's standing there in her requisite college girl outfit of sweatshirt, super short shorts and flip flops and this puppy is just wandering everywhere

luckily it didn't quite manage to run in front of my car but it started following me into the parking lot from the sidewalk and it took her about ten seconds to notice it was gone

At least whoever was letting their dog shit all over the sidewalk and pedestrian bridge and not picking it up must have moved out because there hasn't been any... well... shit lately
