we interviewed X for a position, but they're not quite ready for it. So, they got hired for another team. Kinda awkward seeing them...

"Hi, person who isn't quite good enough for my team yet. How are you doing?"

I mean, yeah, it's the CEO's team, and we're allegedly the best of the best in our respective skillsets, hence why we're on his team, but it just feels weird being the A-lister pretty person.

although I prefer to think of myself more of a quantity than a quality person. I make up for skills in my ability to keep up and spew volumes of word-things.

and that at any moment, I could keel over, and someone better can take my place.

which, technically, happened on 1st street in Seattle, right by Pike's Market. Flat sidewalk, no obstructions, and whoops, rolled my ankle and literally keeled over. And fell.
