My daughter's best friend went to Cali for the week and her mom is on FB bragging about how adult her child is that she doesn't even want to do Disney and she's proud. I'm like sitting here thinking that I'm 35

and loveeeeee everything Disney. Does this mean I'm not an adult? Honestly, I feel bad for her. Disney is magical. I can't wait to go in like 3 weeks here!

Disney is amazing, and actively being "proud" that your kid doesn't want to go shows some weird-ass priorities.

She's NINE?! I expected like, 16 or something, right in the middle of teenage "coolitis." To not want to go to Disney at 9 is a little sad.

I have noticed that when it comes to amusement parks and the like. All of my friends growing up who did not like them had a parent who also did not like them.

It's not cool to project stuff like that on kids...let them have their own preferences.

i kinda feel bad for kids who don't like disney or who aren't introduced to it. some story aspects can be problematic, but you could just explain the issue if you're a decent parent
