i woke up hours earlier than i should, with terrible nausea

this is bad

i can't seem to swallow anything at all

it's such a strange feeling, really. a new thing

i can hold water in my mouth

or pepto bismol, for that matter

but i can't convince my reflexes to ease up and let me swallow

my body is acting on its own, against me-- in a direct and almost conscious-seeming fashion.

like a child refusing to open its mouth for a bite

maybe i can just vomit instead

that would be nice
