My character type is skeptics/devil's advocates!

The fact that an inordinate number of those wear glasses is only marginally relevant - the appeal of the glasses comes from the character type, not vice-versa

Generally, the character who can be brought to believe in the hero's ideals (the amount of effort this takes varies) but will continue to take up an opposing position just to make them think things through

But also, very much a character who wants to improve the world, who wants to believe in some kind of ideals

surprising others when they throw their full support behind the hero after they've been won over
