My doctor confirmed that I've lost an inch of height. I'm only 58, so I'm too young for this

It'll happen as the disks compress, but it's not a big deal. Spinal pain is. My close friend is only 59 and she has had constant pain from spinal stenosis for years and takes a LOT of pain killers.

My mom is dealing with spinal stenosis, too, and it's terrible. She hasn't mentioned losing any height yet, though, but she's got other things going on that may have contributed to it.

TatteredPage : It's a horrible condition. I find using a rollator helps somewhat. I use it for walking, sitting, and carrying stuff.
