the board game I'm basing this on is called Tragedy Looper. In the game itself, you play a couple of anime protagonists going through time loops to try to prevent the various deaths of your friends.

I want to change this so its the player base going through time loops trying to prevent the various deaths of one another.

1. The game is played in rounds of (X) loops of (Y) days. If, at the end of the allotted number of days, the deaths (generated via RNG and moderated by GM) are avoided, players win.

The current loop is abruptly ended and the next loop started, via GM announcement, once the crime is discovered.

2. It is possible for players to look see the round.

random events you have to stop (you know what they are and when they will happen but not who does them)

In-game it's basically "stop (murderer) from getting so many despair points or keep them away from (victim)"

Because there IS a set murderer and victim. You just don't know who until it happens.

also there could potentially be more than one murder plot happening... so, in the board game, it's usually just that one person has to die for you to lose. other people can die no problem.
