But my favourite books are surprisingly not by him

I actually wish someone would ask what they are

You don't talk about anything else

alternatively, you could just say what they are and we won't have to ask

Enders Game, The Lord of the Rings, Way of King's, Night Angel, and The Ark by Ben Jeapes

If I had a sixth I'd add the three books written as companions to the game Myst.
