I'm really glad I have access to cable JUST in time to catch the airing of the remake of Roots

I haven't seen the original in many years

But so far this one is really excellent

Malachi Kirby, the guy playing Kunta Kinte in this one is so good

I want to see other stuff he's in

I'm glad this got remade and so well

The original is obviously a classic, but i remember watching it when I was 14 I think and feeling like it was really dated

this is probably a lot more watchable to a modern generation
