Speaking of deaths, one mod I could really use is one that prompts you, upon return from a mission where people died, to write an epitaph for the fallen.
I never took psipanic in XCOM1 because every fucking time I used it the alien would panic, take their shitty potshot, and kill one of my guys by dumb luck
Of the members of XCOM directly killed by enemy action, 43% of all fatalities are due to the humble Advent Trooper, 20% are the handiwork of Officers, and 14% are stun-lancers. Sectoids get 10%.
stunlancers are a whole other fatality spike unto themselves, that window when ADVENT starts sending them after you but you can't have mag weapons yet can be absolutely brutal
Until stun lancers and MECs start rolling out the only thing that might take priority over killing a trooper is killing a captain, but only if you're SURE you can get that kill.
