It's Moira!
If I have to listen to the thumping baseline of Ranchero music all night long, I'm totally letting my dog poop in someone's yard.
It's Moira!
I love your brain.

If anyone catches you, you could say that it's just your version of a luminaria!

ToriLok Hi5!

The source of the music. .. a full karaoke machine set up in my neighbors yard, at full blast. the only way it could get worse was by adding in bad singing voices.
Kurt
Ugh! I think the Ghost of Christmas Kickass needs to visit them!
Vin
Raise them one. Frozen soundtrack at full volume, on repeat.

Did it eventually die down or did they scare Santa's reindeer off?
It's Moira!
I ended up calling in a noise disturbance at about 12:30, after they were setting off fireworks for about 30 minutes. The stopped when the cops got there. I kinda feel bad, but dang.
It's Moira!
My husband had to be up at 6 for work, and my 3 year old was waking up every minutes just sobbing.
Kurt
Are fireworks legal there, or was that another no-no they were committing?
It's Moira!
I think there is a current ban on them in the city due to drought and firehazards They are expressly forbidden by our home owners association, mostly because the houses are so close together.
Kurt
You were right to call the cops. Somebody needed to put a kibosh on that kind of rudeness so late at night.
Suze
Pretty sure they're illegal in almost all metro areas of the US. Some are banned statewide while others have local ordinances. Sparklers and smoky things are about all that are legal here. But here's what's odd
Suze
I live near the state line and there are major fireworks stores in both states. Residents of both are not allowed to buy in-state but can get anything they want in the next state over. Weird.
Kurt
Suze That is odd! And I think even sparklers are verboten here. Too bad as I have (seasonally a propos) fond childhood memories of singing "Silent Night" in German on Christmas Eve while holding one.
Suze
I'm sure sparklers probably cause more burns than any other because of the availability and parents allow little kids to handle them. Those suckers are awful! While not one to use any, I do enjoy the big shows
Kurt
Yeah I was always kind of scared of sparklers even as I held them and was wary of other holding them and walking with them...yikes!
It's Moira!
Most fireworks are technically legal here, but there have been bans for the lady few years due to drought. I know in Michigan though, only non projectiles are legal, like fountains and sparklers
