[RL/Rant] Shianne is coming to terms with her financial class. Or maybe she's just fighting it?

We had a long talk last night about how she's embarrassed that we're poor. It'd be one thing if she was being made fun of for it, but she's not. She's just straight up embarrassed, and I get that.

Her reasoning being that "We should be able to afford me a dress at any time!" because she has homecoming in Jan and needs a dress (but it has to be new, what's the point if someone else wore it already? etc.)

She's also mad because a lot of her friends are getting brand new hot rods at 16. That "that's what normal families do".

And because she wants a dog and we can't get it because "we're poor" (she wants a 100% pure breed Siberian Husky puppy with papers, nothing else will do.)

She was on the verge of tears, my mother was close because she feels responsible AND Shianne said she doesn't do anything because she's "old", and I'm trying not to laugh at how delusional my sister is.

And I'm not trying to be an ass, I didn't last night. But what? WHAT? I told her that not "everyone did that" last night. But I also added that "but I wasn't friends with the rich kids."

Right now, nothing wold make her happy but money, and I don't want her to be that kind of person. I hope she's not done growing up, because she would be a terrible person right now.

That is definitely not what "normal" families do, Shianne.

She's being a spoiled brat. If she wants money, she should get a job, that's what normal families do.

She's not done growing though, she still has time to get out of this mindset.
